Pop Goes The Century

Autotuning Artistry

Drake, Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Lil’NasX, Adele, Beyonce, Common, Alicia Keyes, Justin Beiber, Justin Timberlake, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran.

This list is by no means complete. This era is still being produced. Rock fans mourn the end of their era.

New Wave of Singers and Songwriters dominate in the 2010s.

They are missing today’s sounds like their parents before them in the 1960’s onward.

Autotune tech enables new sounds. Many of the current artists use it to perfect their music.

I feel once your ears adjust you can enjoy the music of now.

Remember that your generation’s music will remain forever. It’s why musicians make albums. They will be dead; their music will live.

The above artists are a fine way to get into the current wave of musicians.

If you can get over self-inflicted worship of the Led Zeps and Pink Floyds of yesteryear.

Weezer and Metallica put out succesful records on a regular basis. In fact the latter group has several #1 albums despite being a metal band.

Rocking in the 2020’s

Ghost, Satan, Kreator, Santana, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones, Imagine Dragons, Greta Van Fleet, Metallica

If you can get past labels like rock and heavy metal you will realize that old and current forms of heavier music still sells. Just not Billboard fixtures, rock is a rebel niche again like it was in the 1970’s.

Listening to an eclectic mix of music will make you as a listener feel much more a part of humanity. Instead of being alienated you will be joined by other listeners who love music like you do.

The artists listed here are just a small amount of music available through streaming and vinyl albums. So much on offer if you open your heart and soul to it.

If Motown and Rock; Disco and Rock; R&B and Rock; Rap and Rock can co-exist in each era of the 1900’s thru 2020 then you can at least accept there credibility.

Whether you listen is your choice. Personally, I choose inclusion and being a part of the whole who love music. The choice is yours…
